Presentation at XIII GIS conference at the University of Debrecen 2022.

Where I talked about the Agrotronic instrument: An Agrotronic instrument developed and calibrated using the reading taken with the water sensor in air and water, giving a direct measurement of soil moisture content based on plant need. Real-time soil moisture monitoring in the root-zone depth is essential for effective irrigation control. Water wastage can be reduced by considering plants’ needs and not just watering considering only the volumetric water content of the soil. Therefore, a soil moisture monitoring instrument based on crop needs with real-time and self–powering functionality that can meet the farmer’s needs at a considerable cost is required.
